Ichiyo School: Focus on materials and the space in between

Ichiyo School was founded in Tokyo in 1937 by Ichiyo Kasuya.

The materials used in Ichiyo School ikebana are not limited to flowers and plants. Sometimes metal materials are used.

There is always space between two different objects. There is always chronological space between two sounds. Ichiyo school pays special attention to such space when arranging flowers.
